About WeBe Brewing
WeBe Brewing Company is Farm and Micro Brewery, located in Geneva, NY. WeBe opened on March 31, 2018, making it the 14th brewery located in Ontario County. WeBe prides itself on producing small, quality batches of beer. We work with a local farmer to recycle all our spent grains, so nothing is gone to waste. Although we are a dually licensed as a Farm Brewery and Microbrewery, we still source all of our ingredients as locally as possible. Currently all our beers contain a minimum of 60% NYS ingredients.
Our System:
WeBe Brewing Company features a 10 Barrel Brewhouse, with (6) 20 Barrel fermenters, and
(2) 20 Barrel Brite Tanks.
Our Taproom:
Prior to being our taproom, the space was a car garage. While demolishing the interior to open up the space, Colleen and Dan found all of the beams and supports, which they brought back to life after being buried behind walls and ceilings.
We have 12 taps in our taproom, and also offer local wines, cider and craft soda.
The Owners
Colleen & Dan Lieberg - Colleen and Dan began their journey in the craft beer industry more than 10 years ago, homebrewing in their kitchen while attending SUNY Brockport. What began as a fun hobby quickly turned into a passion and they soon found themselves brewing batch after batch, and taking request from their friends and family for new types of beers. After college, Colleen and Dan moved to Buffalo, but after 9 years they decided it was time to move back to the Finger Lakes and turn their passion into a Business.
Colleen Lieberg:
Owner/Brewer/Director of Finance & Taproom Operations/HR
Colleen is a native of Webster, NY. A business management graduate of SUNY Brockport, Colleen comes from a strong business background. Although still working full time in Real Estate, Colleen takes the lead handling the day to day operations at WeBe Brewing Company. Amongst her various roles, Colleen is a brewer for WeBe, she oversees the kitchen & taproom, handles HR, coordinates events, oversees vendor relations, and is responsible for all social media.
Before leaving the corporate world to fulfill her dream of opening a brewery in the heart of the Finger Lakes, Colleen worked in Buffalo selling motors, and plumbing/heating/cooling products. Colleen brings a vast array of experience to WeBe Brewing Company that spans from behind the bar to sales and marketing and employee management. With a huge passion for the industry and a keen sense of hospitality, Colleen’s outgoing personality helps liven up the brewery, and continues to help grow the brand.
Daniel Lieberg:
Owner/Brewer/Director of Brewing Operations & Sales & Marketing
Dan is a native of Geneva, NY and hails from a strong business background. Dan graduated from SUNY Brockport in 2009 with a degree in International Business and currently works as the Export Sales Manager for a Swiss Chocolate Company. In Dan’s role at WeBe, he is responsible for the day to day brewing operations including brewing, strategic planning, sales and marketing, budgeting and forecasting, purchasing and licensing. Dan also prides himself on being the brain behind our branding.
Dan has always had strong passion for the brewing process, sales and marketing, and the Finger Lakes region. These combine with his dedication and proven sales experience plays a major role in the operations of the company.
